Rebooting a sensor or restarting Snort can be a useful way to "fix" software problems, such as a stuck interface. It's better done from the console than by power-cycling the unit. But the interface for doing it is well hidden. Here's how to find it: On the DC, go to operations/sensors. Edit the sensor you want to reboot, then click on "process" on the left sidebar. The ensuing menu lets you remotely reboot, restart Snort, and do some other stuff.
