Q: Why can't I enter my correct FQDN when setting up the unit?

A:
On the networking info screen, which is the first screen you see after you initialize a new unit, you are asked to enter your FQDN. All of the IS and DC share the same flaw: the GUI makes assumptions as to what is a proper FQDN. In my case, they rejected my FQDN, I assume because it does not end with an ICANN-listed gTLD or IANA-listed ccTLD. The workaround is to enter either nothing, or anything that the unit will accept (such as example.com.) Once the unit is up, you will be able to SSH in as root and vi /etc/resolv.conf to put in the correct FQDN. This seems to take care of it.
